I've always wondered what that dude was thinking while curb-stomping cheerleaders. Having Jason's mother speak to him via running voiceover is also a nice touch. Meanwhile, there's plenty of other cool stuff happening in this clip, things both small (check out those moths swirling around Crystal Lake's lampposts!) and large (I love that you can attempt to trick and hide from Jason). I have a lot of questions after watching this clip! For instance: am I to understand that, while playing as Jason, players are able to teleport at will around the map? And see through walls? This seems like it'd make said player ridiculously overpowered, no? I mean, obviously Jason has to be a gigantic threat to the other players - an encounter with Jason wouldn't be scary if he wasn't - but I'm curious how that'll hold up in practice. The game itself isn't entirely finished, so some of what's here looks a little rough around the edges - you'll catch some flat textures and a few rough animations - but what they've got so far looks promising. Last night, for instance, brought us the debut of four minutes' worth of gameplay footage from Gun Media's Friday The 13th: The Game. There's gonna be trailers, gameplay demonstrations, empty promises made by console manufacturers - all kinds of fun stuff. E3 kicked off over the weekend, which means gamers are going to spend much of this week being swept up in tidal wave of video game marketing materials.
